What’s in Your Heart?

What’s in your heart? From a distance I watch Social Media’s pyrotechnics, the flash-bang vitriol, the adamant statements, the judging, and foul exchanges; of people throwing four letter words like missiles—words that scar and offend—like handfuls of human excrement smeared on someone’s front door. Then I look away and ponder the words:

“A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart” (Luke 6:45, NLT).

I want those hidden treasures that inspire, heal and mend—that ultimately shine forth in humble acts of service and humane living; the very treasures that many online denigrate and ridicule.

From a distance I watch, listen and pray!
