Jesus told the crowds that listened to him preach: “Everyone who listens to my words and does them is like a wise person who builds a house on a foundation of bedrock. When the rains and winds come and floods strike the house, it does not fall because it is built on the rock.” Matthew 7:24-25.
A term that is often used to describe this way of life is repentance. Repentance means to turn around. I quit doing “my thing” and start doing “God’s thing.” So I do what God tells me in the Bible and obey his instructions. I quit worrying and start trusting.
