What about all the stupid stuff in my past?

Trust God to deal with your past. If you’re like everyone else, you’ve probably done some stupid things in your life. And when you think about them, you feel guilty. And that’s a good. I’m glad you’re able to feel guilty. If you weren’t, you’d be a psychopath. But if you don’t release those feelings of guilt, they can crush you. God invites you to confess your stupid stuff, your evil stuff, to Him and let Him forgive you.

“If we confess our sins (stupid stuff, wicked stuff), God is reliable and trustworthy. He will forgive our sins and clean up all the unrighteousness in our lives.” 1 John 1:9

This opportunity for a new future, for a fresh start is one of the most hopeful, helpful aspects of the teachings of Jesus. You don’t have to stay imprisoned by your past. God wants you to look forward to the future with hope.
