I’ve made some changes in the way I see parenting/grandparenting. I’m having more fun. We’re playing more — getting dirtier. There are sleepovers and trips to IHOP. And I hug my grandchildren more, delight more in the things they say and ignore more unimportant behavior.
Thank You for the opportunity to see the next generation and realize that you knew all along how precious children were when you chastised your disciples for shooing them off. You knew that your kingdom was made up of people just like those children (Matthew 19:13-15).
In Jesus’ name, amen.
