Please Forgive Me

Dear God: Your Word tells me that "Whoever covers his sin will not prosper." (Prov. 28:13) Today I want to uphold before you those who need to confess a sin: those who need to ask for forgiveness, those who need to apologize. So many relationships are strained and even broken because of something said or done.
Should such a one be reading this prayer, please let Your Holy Spirit impress upon them the need to apologize or ask for forgiveness. Help them to realize that, by taking this step, they can free themselves from guilt and restore the relationship.
You have instructed us in Your Word to take the initiative to make things right. (Matt. 5:24; Matt. 18) Let these individuals work toward reconciliation. This will require a humble heart. Please grant such, I pray...
